Expedition Kilimanjaro

By climbing Mount Kilimanjaro we would like to make people aware of the fact that not all children around the world have equal opportunties. By connecting a climb like this to a good cause we want to show we stand for commitment, sustainability and collaboration. We show we are committed by making education possible. Education is sustainable and gives childres a chance for a better future. And we show that it is possible to make a difference in some else’s life by collaborating and take action!

We hope to inspire people by accepting this challenge and hope people will contribute to the project in Kenya. Help us spread education! 

In Januari 2014 we are going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for a project of EducAIDed. A professional expedition team will help us walk the Machame route. This route can be done in 6 or 7 days. We have chosen the 7 day route, because this includes one acclimatisation day. This day will help us get used to the height and it decreases the chance to get high altitude sickness. 

The professional expedition team excists of a main guide, assistant guides, porters and a cook. The Machame route is one of the most beautiful routes but also one of the steapest routes. With a well thought out preparation we hope to get to the top!
